Solar Pool Heating

Solar pool heating systems are the best investment a pool owner can make. Whether for relaxation or recreation, a comfortable pool is a great gathering place for family and friends. A Vasco Solar system can effectively lengthen your pool seasons, make your pool more warm & comfortable, and drastically reduce or eliminate pool-heating costs.

Vasco Solar Energy has installed thousands of systems over the last thirty-five years and has worked with almost every type of solar heating system. We choose to install Solar Industries SI-2000 Pool Heating Collectors, due to their superior design and proven performance! The solar collectors will be located on a roof or on a pitched rack on the ground.

Solar Industries Solar Pool Heating Systems

Solar Industries is the only collector to survive a grueling 23-year life expectancy test in the Arizona desert. And with tens of thousands of installations worldwide since 1976, you cannot find a better built, better backed solar collector.

They the largest manufacturer of solar collectors in the USA and every collector is constructed under strict quality control. These panels withstand extreme exposure to the sun, weather, heat, pollution and oxidation, due to formulated polymer compounds. Unaffected by pool chemicals, they can not rust, corrode or discolor your pool.

Note: Standard collectors are 4′ wide and 10′ or 12′ long, but smaller sizes are also available. The size and amount of collectors needed will depend on the size of the pool.

The Solar Industries panel has the NSF-50 listing, which is a strict safety, durability and toxicity standard required for commercial pool equipment and ensures the water is safe. The Solar Industries panel has a performance rating of 1,100 Btus/ft2 by the Florida Solar Energy Center (FSEC) – an independent energy research institute.

With a Vasco Solar installation, you simply set the desired temperature on your automatic control panel and the system does the rest.

When the solar sensor finds that there is enough solar energy to heat your pool and your pool is colder than you desire, water is automatically sent to your solar collectors by the valve. Bright sunshine is not needed to heat your pool. The solar sensor will turn on your solar system, even on a hazy or cloudy day.

Your pool pump sends pool water to the solar collectors. As the water flows through the many tubes in each solar collector, the sun’s energy heats it. The solar-heated water then flows back to your pool. This simple cycle continues until your pool reaches the desired temperature.
